Look at my apple tree!! Yeah and the guys tinned that shed in that kind of wind. No wonder why they are beat.
My apple tree :( It produced some huge apples this year so that really bums me out.

Thanks Mom

This picture brought tears to my eyes. This was taken at Mom's house. Looks like she was crying :(
Great picture of Logan
Logan spent the day with Mom at a golf tournament in honor of Pancreatic Cancer. Which my Aunt Joyce died of this past fall.
Mom took this pic of Bailey when she watched her and Gage while we were in Canada. Awesome picture Mom it is one that I will treasure forever. What I love about it is you can hardly notice the tumor on her head and she still looks happy.

One last pic...

Wednesday, August 20, 2008

If it should be that I grow frail and weak, and pain should keep me from my sleep, then you must do what must be done, for we know this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad, I understand, but don't let grief then stay your hand, for this day, more than the rest, your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years, what is to come can hold no fears.Would you want me to suffer? So,when the time comes, please let me go.

Take me where my needs they'll tend, only stay with me until the end,and hold me firm and speak to me,until my eyes no longer see.

It is a kindness that you do to me,although my tail it's last has waved, from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Do not grieve, it should be you,who must decide this thing to do.We've been so close, we two these years,Don't let your heart hold any tears.

Tomorrow is the day Bailey we will not let you suffer anymore.

New pics of Bailey

This is so sad she has changed so much in the last week and a half or so. If you scroll down to the other set of pics you can see how much her head has changed in such a short time. Was hard coming home and seeing how much it had grown while we were gone. Mom and Buzz we are so thankful you took care of her and Gage while we were gone thanks bunches!!! Monday night Sean had the electrician here and when he saw her he quickly looked away. Sean then made the comment that it will probably happen in the next week or two. I just walked away cause I can't handle even thinking that she won't be here to greet me in the mornings, or come over and lay her head on my lap cause she wants to be petted. She used to greet us in the driveway but that has stopped due to her being inside 90% of the time. She is such a sweetie and I love her so much. I know the time will come and I will have to let go of her and know it is for the best.
I know you are all diggin that lovely orange carpet. Don't worry I will share it with the first person who wants dibs!!! Think it used to be through out my computer room and Sean tore it up well over a year ago and put wood laminate. So that's the only piece left is the landing at the bottom of the stairs.

OUR TRIP

We are Home!!

What a wonderful time we had in Kenora, Ontario. I just can't get over how gorgeous it is up there and can't wait to go back. We had an amazing time on the house boat and a great time fishing. We ate a lot of fish and believe it or not I have been craving it all day. The tournament went so well and they did a wonderful job putting it on!! Hats off to all of you :) The boys really had a blast and I am so proud of them. I was so sad, scared and nervous that if (which they didn't) they did not win they would have those sad droopy face and possibly even be a poor sport. NOT ONCE!! They came off the boat smiling and Sean even said they knew they didn't win and they also didn't seem to care. They just kept telling Sean how much fun they had. When it was all done Logan said to me. "Mom I am really glad that family won" It brought tears to my eyes knowing my little boy was really maturing. This was a taped and will be aired on TV I believe late November or December don't worry I will remind you all!! Well anyways was sad to leave knowing it was back to reality of life again. Which that is exactly what it was did laundry last night and today. Boys got haircuts this morning and got the younger two boys registered at school. I also managed to mow half the lawn today. Well it is super late and need to get some zzzz's by the way I am in the process of putting together a video of pics from the trip. I took 340 but when I put those all together it was over 20 minutes and I have to cut it back to 10 or under. But just check back and hopefully they will be on soon.

PS Bailey looks horrible and will post pics later. I sat and cried last night and held her knowing her time is coming soon. Thanks Mom and Buzz from the bottom of our hearts for watching Gage and Bailey while we were gone.

Now just waiting for the rafters to come in.

Sean and I made a decision that we are not putting Bailey down. I can't do it cause it just breaks my heartto think of the unknown. She has had a great week as far as health goes. The tumor is still growing but not any higher it is just spreading out. Her eyes aren't droopy this week and she has had no bloody noses. We still have her in the house and maybe all the love she has been giving is helping :) Gage and Bailey are going to my Moms for the week. Thanks in advance Mom we really appreciate it. Still wish you were coming with us to Canada.

Well tomorrow we are off to the farm to get Dave and Mary and Sunday morning we get on the road for our week long trip to Canada. We are all getting excited about getting away from the real world for a short time. Today is going to be cleaning the house and packing suitcases. Okay and I might try and layout this afternoon. Good incentive to get everything done this morning :)

One week from today!!

http://www.hooknbullet.ca/ Here is the website to the house boat we will be staying on!!! The kids are getting so excited. There is even a slide on the top deck for them to go off of into the water. I am starting to do my cleaning today and getting caught up on laundry. Going to slowly start setting things aside for the trip. This week will go by so fast. Sean is out golfing with the boys and Grace fell asleep on the living room floor watching cartoons. Well back to the housework!!!

Logan took these pics of Bailey and I tonight.

I got home from celebrating Kaidyn and Kamdens birthday around 9:30. Bailey was shivering and her teeth were chattering. She was outside with Sean and for all of you who are not here in SD it was still high 70's so no reason to be cold :( I love you Bailes!!!

I am sitting here crying while Grace keeps saying whats wrong Mommy. I took Bailey to the vet to get some of the pressure released from her head. A good friend of Mine offered to go with me. I heard something I never wanted to hear. The vet said that there is no infection left and it is all hard. He said he was sorry but there is nothing we can do for her anymore. "Tumor" kept echoing when he said it. All I could think of was no this is not true not my dog. He also said bone pain is the worst pain and it is hard to control it. This tumor is the cause of her bloody noses, her strange breathing etc.. He said that it will continue to spread and eventually it will get to the point where she will not let you touch her cause the pain will be so bad and then you will know he said. I talked to Sean when I got home and I swear he turned white. Nothing he wanted to hear either. It makes us both sick to think about it. We will need to make a decision before we leave on the 9Th. I don't want to do that but like Sean said if we are just hanging her in there for our own personal comfort its not giving Bailey a quality of life. Anyways I guess I will keep you updated on Bailey if anything arises.

Getting some love from Mom at the baseball game
"Hey Logan good game buddy"

Update Bailey

Last night Bailey had three bloody noses while we were at baseball. Not the bloody nose you are probably thinking of. It just was dribbles of blood that were coming out. She also has been doing this weird breathing like she is inhaling 5 sometimes 6 times in a row and it's really weird sounding. So after shedding lots of tears last night and trying to come to the realization that she is sick and getting old. But still I think I am denial that someday I am going to loose my dog. Those out there that have a dog that you love dearly or have lost a dog you love dearly completely understand where I am coming from. I called the vet this morning concerned about her bloody noses and the growth of the lump on her head. Yes it has grown bigger around I wouldn't say taller but around it sure seems like it has. I am taking her in at 10 and they are going to attempt to try and release some of the pressure in her head by draining some of it. I will update later today.
