Mom told me it is a Cedar waxwing bird. Mom said they like to eat fruit so Logan brought out some fruit on a tupperware lid and a box for it to go in. The bird can't fly and he is worried my cats will eat it.

Housework

I am just curious if anyone else gets to the point of pulling their hair out when it comes to housework??? I swear there is a tornado following me at all times. I am wondering how people can keep it all up with kids and sports etc... So if anyone can give me some tips that would be awesome!!! PLEASE I am begging before my hair either turns grey or falls out :)

What a fun but crazy weekend of hockey. Austin was in Watertown for a hockey tournament and played super we were so proud of him. He got 3 goals but if you ask him he got 4!! Austin is very competitive just like his dad. While Austin was in Watertown Hunter was in Mitchell with my folks for hockey. They won both of their games there and Hunter had a lot of fun with having Grandma and Grandpa to himself. Logan was in Brookings all weekend for hockey and played three games and won them all. So overall it was a great weekend considering we had kids in all different directions.

Here is a couple of pics of Austin I forgot my camera for Logan's game but will make up for it next weekend while we are in Minnesota for both Logan and Hunter.

After work today I took Grace in for a haircut. I will be honest she has not had one in probably almost a year. Okay so I didn't have the courage to cut off but a 1/2 an inch!!! Little girls are meant to have long hair so just got the ends cut. She sat there like a perfect little angel. For her reward I gave her a bunch of numerous pretties from Claires. She was very excited about all her new things. I will get a picture of her in the morning and post it.

I love to fly on airplanes. I love being so high above looking down at the tiny houses, cars, fields, and trees. I know that I came from "down there" just a few minutes ago, but when I look at it from so far away, everything changes. As a Mom, I need to remember to step back and get that "airplane perspective" on raising my kids. When I am in the midst of my kids' petty arguments or when i'm feeling that I will never clean the house faster than my kids mess it up, those situations seem to swallow me up. Those are the times I need to take a step back, get some perspective, and rise above it. So many aspects of a mother life seems so urgent that i can sometimes be difficult to focus on the the important. When I am in the midst of it all is seems to engulf me. I need to try and pull myself away from the immediate sittuation and ask myself "will I really remember this situation in 5 years?" So from now on when I am in the midst of a struggle, I am going to take an imaginary flight (window seat of course) and fly high enough to get up abouve the clouds into the sunshine!!!! So you know all that laying out on the beach I really did accomplish something a way to try and make myself relax and not get so uptight :)

Just thought I would drop a quick line to let you all know we are having a lot of fun. Been outside in the sun since 10:30 this morning. Just got back to my room and it is 9:30 pm going to shower and get ready for the night. I heard that school got called off today and it is a blizzard back home. I guess another reason to enjoy this trip a little more :)

Off to the warm sunshine!! Enjoy the cold snow and see you all in a week!!

Boys if you happen to get on the blog and read this I want you to know we love you three boys so much! You are such great kids and we are so proud of you with all that you do. Please be good while we are gone and have a lot of fun!! There won't be a day that we don't think of you! Have a great week at school.

Austin had his first game this last weekend against Mitchell. Austin played very well and hard I was so proud of him. He had 4 shots on goal!!!

Sean and Logan before the game. They got there early and walked around the dome. As you can tell nobody was decked out in Vikes gear due to it being a last minute surprise for Logan.

Okay so tonight I saw the coolest view ever. Outside my dining room window were 8 does and 2 fawns. They were eating my large pine trees out there. They were there for a good 10 minutes after I noticed them. The two fawns were running around and prancing. Okay so now your wondering why I didn't take a picture well that is because I left it in the truck. UGH!!! Lesson learned there :)

So I am sure you are wondering why I have the background I have right?? Well that is because on the 11th at 4:55 am we will be on a plane heading to the Bahamas so thought I would rub it in!!! So that whole week there will be no updates but be sure to come back on the 17th cause there will be tons of pictures from the trip :)

So Sean and Logan are in Eden Prairie for hockey. He had a game last night but lost 8-0. Two games today they have to win both today to be able to play the games tomorrow. Sean bought tickets to the Vikings play off game to surprise him!! They will be sitting in row 30 at the 30 yard line I believe so that is not to bad of seats for a pro game.

Austin had games in Huron today but we did not go. I am a wimp when it comes to driving in crappy weather. It was misting this morning when we drove to Brookings and was freezing on the windshield if I didn't have it on defrost. So we went to the store and got groceries and a few other things. On our way home we slid right past the driveway and I was even driving the truck so that's when I didn't feel so guilty about not going.

Well I suppose I could be cleaning house or doing laundry. Hope Sean will send me pics from his blackberry and I will post on here. GO VIKES
